Unloved corner to bright study!

I went back this week to this property in Emersons Green, owned by the lovely Flook family. With two small children, and a business run from home, space is always at a premium.

The house had a small return space, behind the existing garage, which wasn’t particularly useful-

We designed a single storey extension, to fill in the space, and created a light, bright and airy study space. The sloped roof adds height and drama, the french doors and velux window flood the space with light. Despite it being only  6 sq metres of additional floor space,  this study has made a big impact and there has been no loss of amenity for the main garden.
