The completed extension
It was lovely to re-visit a completed project for a family who live very near me. They owned an end terrace house, which had a sizeable car port to the side of their home. The car port and storage sheds within it were not particularly useful, and they wanted to create a little extra space for their growing family.
The house, before
I designed a one storey side extension, which houses a play room, small utility and shower room.
The Play room is a great addition to the house and is a versatile space that could also make a lovely dining space, study, guest bedroom or TV/Hobby space. The large velux window makes the space bright (even on the dark February day I visited!). The utility is a compact and functional space, providing laundry facilities and some additional storage, and the shower room is a useful secondary bathroom, and downstairs WC.
This project was the second of my projects to be built by local builder Edd Buckland, and the family were very pleased with the result.
