Single Storey extension- South Glos

This lovely single storey extension in Downend is one of a matching pair- I designed the neighbouring extension a few months prior to this https://alexandracork.wordpress.com/2018/01/29/family-room-and-utility-extension-in-bromley-heath/ . I went back to see it completed today, the owners have created a light filled seating space, adjoining their existing kitchen/diner, looking out onto their garden. The extensions look super smart together, with matching detailing and materials. It’s interesting to compare the layouts- the neighbouring extension created a large open plan kitchen/diner and family space, along with a WC and utility, also knocking their original dining room into the space, while this extension has retained a separate, adjoining, reception room, and created an L shaped kitchen- diner and seating area, showing just two of the options there are, for a relatively modest sized extension.
