Sun Room extension- Emerson’s Green
Before
After
The owners of this detached house in Emerson’s Green have a beautiful rear garden, which they love to enjoy all year round. We designed this one storey ‘sun room’ in an awkward corner of the garden, gaining planning and building regulations permissions. Conservatories are notorious for being too cold in winter and too hot in summer and their glazed roofs are difficult to maintain. This sun room extension, fully insulated to modern standards, has a solid roof, with large bi-folding doors facing the garden and smaller windows on the front elevation. The result is a light, bright room, suitable and comfortable all year round. In summer, the bi-folds swing open almost the whole width of the room, allowing the outside in.
